The Algerian government has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening African unity and promoting sustainable development across the continent during a high-level meeting held in Algiers.
Speaking before African officials and international partners, government representatives emphasized Algeria’s determination to deepen regional cooperation in the areas of economic integration, security, digital transformation, and infrastructure development.
Officials highlighted that Africa possesses significant human and natural resources capable of driving long-term prosperity if supported by stronger partnerships and coordinated policies.
Algeria also reiterated its support for the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), describing it as a strategic opportunity to increase intra-African trade, encourage investment, and create employment opportunities for millions of young Africans.
During the discussions, several initiatives focusing on renewable energy, transportation networks, food security, and digital public services were presented as priorities for the coming years.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to reinforce political dialogue among African nations and to promote peace, stability, and economic resilience across the continent.
